EASY TO FOLLOW INSTRUCTION

“This is great course! I never thought I could play this piece and understand it in such an easy to follow instruction. Excellent instructor!”

I ENJOYED EVERY MINUTE OF IT

“I am a 70 year old advanced beginner who has never tried to learn anything on my own without an instructor by my side. This was also my first attempt to play classical music. I had a great time, enjoyed every minute of it and felt like I did have someone to guide me through all of the pieces. I thought the presentations were very well organized and easily understood. I would definitely sign up for more of these. A great way to enjoy sheltering in place. Thanks again.”

A GREAT MATCH FOR ME

“This is definitely a great match for me. I have been slowly working my way through Robin’s basic piano course which in itself has been an amazing tool for me to learn piano. I can’t wait to get into these two new courses. Thank you Robin for making these courses So user friendly. I sure appreciate your teaching style!”

I’M THRILLED WITH MY ABILITY TO PLAY THESE TWO PRELUDES

“I played the guitar for about 20 years and learned parts of about 25 songs… However, I never COMPLETELY learned a whole song! In 4 months, being a BRAND NEW PIANO PLAYER with no note reading capability, I’ve memorized both pieces by EAR! It’s blown me away!

The key is I ENJOYED listening to the piece as I played. I still don’t read music and would like to… but, it’s not fun for me to read music at this stage. I’m thrilled with my ability to play these two preludes. I have the original course that I did not use but will go back and pick it up then move on to Satre’s and the Moonlight Sonata. Keep up this great work!

Magnificent and I would recommend it 10,000%!”

SO FAR IT’S A PLEASURE

I am 55, didn’t ever play the piano, however I do know how to read notes and I love classical music. Sati was not new to me. I enrolled to this course 3 weeks ago and so far it’s a pleasure.
At the beginning I thought it is too complicated as a first piece of music, however after practicing 4 time a week for 10-30 minutes i started to see noticeable improvement, like a magic it became easier and easier. Still I have mistakes and need more practice, however the “music” is there.
I highly recommend!

EXCELLENT WAY TO LEARN

“Excellent way to learn, especially if you never learned to play the formal way. Breaking the piece down into bite sized chunks and learning one section until you have memorized it before learning the next. You’ll be surprised how quickly you can reach a reasonable standard of playing this piece.”

MY ABILITY TO READ MUSIC IMPROVED SIGNIFICANTLY

“I enjoyed this course as much as any course I’ve taken. It is a good length and very focused–it teaches one thing and teaches it really well. It provides a step-by-step walkthrough for playing Erik Satie’s Trois Gnossienes on Piano. These are beautiful pieces and not too difficult to play, and Robin’s method makes learning them really straightforward. I can now play through these pieces consistently, more or less by memory. My ability to read sheet music for piano improved significantly, though that is only a secondary emphasis in the course. Highly recommended for an adult learner with a tiny bit of piano who wants to master one piece. I’m already moving on to Robin’s Bach course and looking forward to it.”

A GREAT COURSE

“A great course of quickly and effectively pickup these 3 cool classics. I only intended to go 1st piece but the instructor has put together the course so well and I did 2nd piece as well and have plans to do the 3rd one too. Nice material, video and above all instructor have done a great job is walking me through the different section. I had about 6 months experience of learning/playing piano (all online) and was able to play first 2 pieces in this course pretty much in two weeks.
If the instructor is reading this comment…. Sir – Thanks for this great course and please create more such courses covering popular classics.”

I’M MAKING MORE PROGRESS THAN EVER BEFORE – I’M 87

“Because of its flexibility of use. You can match your own ability and time available that you have. Which means you are in complete control of your own progress. It has never been patronising. In order to gain from the course you do have to be disciplined to carry out regular study. I’ve found all the courses I’ve tried very well paced and logically presented with very clear instruction.

If anything I’ve signed up for more courses than I have time to concentrate on but I find I can drop in and out of your courses and easily pick them up where I left off and so far not been bored by any. They are in fact all related to my interest in becoming better educated about jazz piano.

I have been involved with music most of my life and I feel I’m making more progress than ever before.
One thing my be of interest l’m 87 years old.”

PACKED WITH USEFUL INFORMATION

“The instructor makes it so easy to play and remember the notes. You just have to put in the time to practice. This course is packed with useful information for how to go from sheet music to playing the prelude.”

DIVIDE AND CONQUER

“This play-by-ear method is a good way to teach piano instead of the old fashioned, boring and difficult method. Divide and conquer, right hand first, then left hand, then play both hands. This method breaks it down to its simplest form and even beginners can play. Practice, practice, practice. Thank you Mr. Robin Hall.

THE RESULTS HAVE BEEN ABOVE MY EXPECTATIONS

“I never thought I would be able to play this piece, or anything as complex as this. But the way Robin Hall takes you literally by the hand and guides you step by step, it’s just amazing, I mean it works, all it takes is persistence and the results will come.
Of course, this is a complex and fairly difficult piece, it is not for novices but with Robin Halls’ guidance, someone with a few years experience, (let’s say, someone like me who has competed most of Robin Halls “Piano For All” course) can give it a go and with practice, the results will come.
Also, a suggestion: if you try this score/course and you find it difficult, do Robin Halls’ Bach Preludes course first or even his Satie course, both courses follow the same method with well written scores, keyboard diagrams and step by step guidance, and Bach’s Prelude No. 1 in C major (BWV 846) and Satie’s Gnossienne No 1 are much simpler than the Moonlight Sonata Mov 1, this is what I did and as I said, the results have been above my expectations…”

HANDS DOWN THE BEST CLASSICAL PIANO COURSE ONLINE

“Another awesome course from Robin. This is my third course from Robin on Piano. Loved the piano-for-all (still in progress) and the Erik Satie (finished 2 out of 3 pieces) and now this preludes from Bach enriching my musical journey. A very nicely and carefully created course content. To be honest, its little more than I required (as I’ve been consistently playing for over 10 months now) but I can understand a real beginner would need all the details/help which the instructor has covered in this course.

This is hands-down the best classical piano course online. I’m done with prelude-Cmajor for now and can’t wait for improve it before I jump into Cminor. Dear Robin, Thanks you sir… hope you keep on creating such courses covering classics…. and possibly some Chopin pieces (psst: Waltz in A minor).”

YOU WILL NOT FEEL OVERWHELMED

“Absolutely the best breakdown of how to play piano I could imagine. The instructor is clearly talented as a teacher and knows how to teach piano in a way that is easy to take in bite sized pieces so you will not feel overwhelmed.”

BEST PIANO COURSE I’VE TAKEN

“It’s the best piano course I’ve taken. I’m currently working on pianoforall as well. Would recommend to anyone that wants to play a classic and inadvertently learn some music theory along the way.”

AMAZING PROGRAM

“Do I recommend this course? YES, highly. I sort of learned to play the piano as a child, if you know what I mean, and there were times when I tried to teach myself to play Moonlight Sonata. I never got past the first 2-3 lines. Decades later, here I am playing Moonlight Sonata in its entirety, all thanks to this wonderful course. I’d like to say it’s a miracle, but in reality, it was a combination of patience and practice on my part AND the use of Robin Hall’s amazing program.

The course is divided into lessons that present this complex (imho) piece of music in manageable sections. Robin offers a very thorough review of each section along with suggestions on how to remember the fingering, which is very helpful. It takes time to learn this piece of music. I practiced every day and only moved on to the next lesson when I felt comfortable with what I had learned so far. I feel that one of the most important things is to allow yourself to enjoy the process of learning each section and to not solely focus on the goal. In this way, you’ll have fun and you’ll keep progressing! Then, before you know it, one day, you too will be playing Moonlight Sonata all on your own.”

VERY ENGAGING AND MOTIVATING

“Very engaging and motivating, inspirational and encouraging. Robin’s tuition – as with his broader course PIANO FOR ALL (which I also own and have gained much from) – is again superb! Quite simply piano tuition worth its weight in gold, but very modestly priced – a massive “bang for your buck”! Buy it and try it for yourself and you won’t be disappointed, I promise you; indeed you’ll be chomping at the bit to have a go and progress to the next level of your musical journey, discovery, and competence.

Thanks, Robin, keep up the good work – and keep bringing us more superb piano/music lessons in the near future, sir! :-)”

SO EASY TO FOLLOW

“I’ve always wanted to learn this piece of beautiful music when I first it when I was young. This course is so easy to follow and with a lot of practise and determination I can now play it through memory. The ability to just sit down at a piano and play this give me so much pleasure. I’m so grateful to you for sharing this. Thank you”

ROBIN HAS A WONDERFUL WAY OF TEACHING

“I absolutely loved both Classics By Ear courses (Satie and Bach). Robin has a wonderful way of teaching, by breaking down the structure of each piece into smaller manageable bits that clarify the patterns and the changes. The way he teaches also makes it easier to memorise pieces, as I always want to be able to play them without needing to rely on my notes. His accent is a treat too. 🙂

Robin, I hope you will create more of these courses – maybe some Chopin? or Beethoven?”

THIS TIME IT’S DIFFERENT

“This course helped me get started with playing the piece straight away. I don’t have experience playing the piano or reading the sheet music, I only tried a few times with very modest results. This time it’s different. All the information and the commentary is really helpful; looking at the way chord progression is structured from so many angles helps to memorise it quickly. Overall, I’m very satisfied.”

I LOVE THIS COURSE

“I love this course. Robin makes it so easy to understand and so calm in teaching. Just love all his course so far and want to learn more from him.”
